GRETA’S INSPIRATIONAL INCENTIVES

I have had many readers who have asked me a few relevant firestorm questions. What was my secret to not catching the covid-19 virus when I was in close contact in a cabin on a ship, and then in quarantine in Australia with the same person, who ended up being a positive?

Inspiration comes from thoughtfulness towards yourself. Create incentives to improve your position to remain alive.

My task at the time was simply, double mask up, wash my hands thoroughly throughout, mindfully focus on living and not catching the pandemic. Above all there were my prayers for myself, having a lung disease which would most likely kill me if I contracted the virus. Sincerely, being aware of my problem, I also prayed for others every day. I was astutely aware of each living moment of my life until I reached Australia and the safely of my own residence. There was no certainty I would not eventually show signs of getting the virus. The Health and Welfare Department of WA phoned me for two months after my last negative test, they were expecting me to become positive eventually. I let them down completely, diverting to the calm and being healthy and strong. I have continued to play out these diplomacies daily.

How did I get through the Covid-19 pandemic on board the ship?

I prayed hard for a miracle! Faith and hope were all that was available. My trust has always been unified with the Lord. He came through. I had memorised Psalm 23 as a child, this comforted and protected me. You may ask if my own personal strength had an attitudinal benefit? I would have to say there was a lot of personal motivation within me, being disciplined, decisive, correct and directed towards educating myself on the best possible survival tactics available. You have to remember the covid virus was a newbie!

I took 48 masks with me; I knew this even before 20th February 2020. If I was to take the journey which I was destined to make I had to be aware of the essentials. I noted everything. Sometimes even wearing a double mask when my inner feelings spoke to me. I continually thoroughly washed my hands. I practised adequate distancing where possible. I focused on sensibility, responsibility and encouragement.

How did I question life and longevity?

My mindset was: “We are here on earth for a purpose!” Mine was to be present in the now, to focus solely on the now and the future leading to the challenging goal of survival under enormous pressures. The hardship was another issue. I never let go of the goal to survive. I think this perpetually controlled my moves to generate joy wherever possible. To try and drive my community to survival through prayer and considerations. We wanted to live, at least I did! Most do!

Negativity strives for disasters. I crossed this emotion off my list. I returned it with the green light of positivity towards my entire life. To let go of someone else’s death-wish or covid depression is to put that stop sign up in front of you and feel not abandonment, condemnation or depression but finding the skill to “let go of their negative!”

What are some ways through tough times?

Exercise of the mind, body and soul creates the you we need you to be. Without exercise there is lack of oxygen, fatigue and insomnia. To exercise in a cabin on a ship, given the small space, you need discipline, courage, and inner mindfulness. If you do not have these key degrees of will power you may as well close the body shop. I exercised three times daily. I practised running in a corner, stretching, hopping and jumping on the spot, meditating, reading for intellectual stimulation. The spiritual side of me enhanced my daily wants and needs.

Energy Food, Compounds and Vitamins were projected as my daily plan. I had to forget about the pig’s food delivered to our rooms daily when in quarantine on board the ship. The correct fresh produce gives you energy and health. We did not have this during the lockdown on board the ship. However, I had a back-stop which was my protective purchases in Australia before my trip began. My contingency compounds and various vitamins were the ammunition which gave me extra hidden food and strength. The compounds and vitamins delivered me through this health crisis. Remember when you are aiming for survival, you need to be proactive. You need foresight when travelling to think of every given threat you may encounter.

In Australia right now, we are a covid-free community. It is the overseas travellers who carry some form of covid virus into our country. They quarantine, and as history has shown us, there are positives. I am proud of the Australian Government having empowered our country to be a forerunner in discipline and stability which our population has adhered to. But at the end of the day, it is the individual to set goals and anticipate disasters and plan to counteract them.

Key tools: Motivation, to maintain energy and a clear mind. Forgive, accept, make yourself into a vital VIP! Live it, relax! Try considering being understanding of yourself and others! Simplify and be open to changes!

Changes can be as simple as laughing at the other side of what you are dished up in life. Encourage your own humour within you. Joke with yourself over the impossible situations. Be serious when it is adequately necessary. Smile! Smiling creates an enervative activity within in your body. Smile and the entire world smiles with you. Try writing some poetry!
