Quarantined in my cruise ship cabin and masked up in the light of the day. March, 2020.

I was travelling on a cruise ship when it was caught in the global COVID-19 pandemic. The forty-eight-day trip was shortened to just a few destinations before the pandemic struck.

After I returned to Australia I commenced writing a book with my factual notes written during the trip.

This is a personal miracle experience spanning seven months. It is a book about a gorgeous, resilient woman (that’s me) and her close male friends on three continents. It details the disappointments and auspicious moments I faced, and how I handled my challenging travelling companion. It talks about the church on the ship, and my desperate conversations with God while sitting on the toilet in the cabin, the only place where I could find peace. I end up saving both my own life and that of my companion. I became a “Significant Miracle Woman” who fought for herself and her companion in desperate circumstances.

After returning to Sydney, I meet up with my fearful past, and this confrontation creates even more tragedy and eventual peace for myself and my family. I had my head in the lion’s jaw and emerged unscathed — truly remarkable!

In the Charles Gairdner Hospital ICU, Perth as an emergency patient. Surrounded by the medical team. April, 2020.
